Prue Salter

Managing Director

Prue Salter is an accomplished senior executive and public policy expert leading the Salter Hill Group. With extensive experience in government affairs, Prue excels in designing policies that deliver long-term value for clients and the community. Her strategic mindset and ability to navigate complex political landscapes have enabled her to shape impactful policies that drive positive change. Prue’s leadership skills have fostered high-performing teams and a culture of collaboration and excellence. She is a trusted advisor sought by government agencies, nonprofits, and private enterprises for her deep understanding of public policy dynamics and her ability to anticipate emerging trends.

At the Salter Hill Group, Prue leads a team dedicated to delivering tailored solutions that bridge the gap between policy and practice, helping organisations navigate complex regulatory environments. Tristan Salter

Director

Tristan Salter is a co-founder and Director of SHG. Prior to establishing SHG, Tristan was the National Education & Communications Manager for the Federal Government’s Australian Sports Anti-doping Authority. Tristan performed several senior strategic, stakeholder relations and management roles working closely with Sport, Education and Community organisations.
Utilising his experience in the Government environment combined with having worked in sport development, customer relations and marketing, Tristan has played a key role in SHG’s expansion across the sport, corporate, Government and not for profit sectors.

Over the past 10 years Tristan has been at the AFL working across Commercial, Football Operations, Talent and Game Development. Key achievements throughout his time at the AFL include designing the new AFL talent model that was equalized for boys and girls, reforming and truly commercializing the NAB League, VFL and NEAFL as well as revitalizing the International Rules concept. In 2021 Tristan embedded himself in QLD with the Gold Coast Suns and QLD Government on a number of key growth initiatives. Over the past two years he has been responsible for driving the diversification of AFL revenues, particularly establishing the AFL Growth and Acquisition Plans and most recently oversaw the new AFL Consumer Products and Licensing model. Tristan is currently General Manager – Operations & Tasmania, where he is responsible for the introduction of the new 19th AFL License in Tasmania, Gather Round, the Operationalization of Season 8 of AFLW amongst other key projects.

Kevin Isaacs

Associate

Kevin joined SHG following sixteen years as a Senior Executive in the Australian Public Service. Kevin brings with him an extensive background in corporate management; leadership and organisational development; policy development and advising; and program management. Kevin has led a number of major organisational reviews and implemented best practice change management strategies.

Kevin has performed a number of significant roles across Government including Chief of Staff to the Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, General Manager of Sport for the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts and most recently has been the Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Executive Officer for the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA).

Shanon Tyrer

Associate

Shannon Tyrer has a vision and passion for social justice and for driving real and positive change. Shannon’s talent is for making the complex simple, brainstorming, sifting through evidence, conducting conversation through consultation, challenging assumptions and creating solutions.
Through her experience as a senior manager in Government and in the Not-For-Profit sector and her direct work with local and remote communities, Shannon knows how to effectively drive and deliver a project and how to lead a team.

Shannon knows how to craft content for an audience and a medium and how to facilitate meaningful consultation. She knows how to elicit support and funding and how to manage change.
Shannon is proud of her contribution to communities and the network of like-minded and talented people she works with.

Avril Salter

Associate

Prior to joining the Salter Hill Group, Avril was the Principal of Whittlesea Secondary College for 13 years. Avril established the College as a leader in Vocational Education and Training (VET), culminating in the College being awarded the Victorian VET in Schools Award in 2003 and 2007.

Avril was selected as a member of the National Youth Careers and Transition Group chaired by then Education Minister, Brendan Nelson. Avril has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences, written articles for state and national publication and become an internationally recognised advocate for post compulsory education.
